Aspen Moon Farm is located close to the city of Longmont and Boulder, though our farm has a nice rural setting in the St. Vrain Valley, minutes away from the Rocky Mountain foothills. We cannot accommodate tobacco users on our staff, due to diseases that can be shared between tobacco and certain crop species.

Post-harvest Crew Lead
Post-harvest Crew Lead
Crew leader for a crew of 2-6. Duties include some or all of the following: washing veggies, bunching veggies and/or flowers, hydrocooling, quality control, weighing, sorting, record keeping, washing and sanitizing equipment, preparing for CSA and markets, CSA pack line, following FSMA protocols, harvest, and possibly some field work. Must have at least 1 year experience with produce and/or flowers (such as at a farm or grocery store), leadership role strongly preferred. Work schedule will be 5 days/week M-F 8-12 hrs/day plus up to 2 Saturday farmers markets/month in peak season.
Farm Stand Crew Lead
A minimum of 1 year in a customer service oriented leadership role. Must demonstrate: strong leadership skills, ability to give good constructive on-the-job feedback to crew, ability to pace oneself and the crew, good daily communication with managers/owners, friendly and helpful customer service, vegetable knowledge/desire to learn. Leads crew of 2-6 in running our roadside farm stand: produce sales and CSA pickup. T-F 8:30-6:30, option for 8-10 hour day working in packhouse on Mondays. Saturdays required mid-April to first week of June only.
Washing veggies, bunching, bagging, counting, quality control, weighing, record keeping, washing and sanitizing equipment, cleaning and closing packhouse at end of day, and preparing for CSA, all while following food safety protocols. Experience with produce at a farm, grocery store, restaurant, cafeteria, or other natural food producer, or similar packhouse or other food experience. Must have positive attitude, attention to detail, good memory, ability to work efficiently and maintain a steady pace, proficiency at basic math, ability to work independently when needed, and flexibility. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and be able to commit to the full season of April/May - November. Must be able and willing to follow all Covid policies. $14/hr plus extra produce to take home. Part-time or full-time schedules available: Half days 9am to 2pm or 2pm to 6-7pm, 4-5 days/week M-F; or full days 9am to 6-7pm, 5 days/week M-F.
Must have at least 1-2 years greenhouse experience and experience running a crew. Extensive knowledge of organic production, varieties, and greenhouse watering preferred. Must be available to see the full season March- November. We grow and sell organic starter plants- vegetables, fruits, and culinary herbs as well as all of the starts for our own farm- every vegetable you can think of. Run the greenhouse operation in the spring then move into field and hoop house work as the season progresses. Work at the farmers markets too.
Must have experience operating farm tractors, skid steers, trucks, and trailers. Some mechanic skills preferred. Good MVR and good communication skills are required. Leadership skills a plus. This is a very important positions and assists in all aspects of the Farm! Full-time. Seasonal or year-round. 5 days/week M-F & 2 Sa/month= 55-60 hrs/week.

We will hire 3 or more interns each season. We have housing for 6-8 interns on the farm. Please email your resume and then we will send you a detailed description and application. Intern positions are meant for those wishing to pursue a career in farming. Previous farm experience preferred. Work to learn and learn to work! Must be able to commit to the full season of January-March and/or March/April- November. We are currently hiring for January-March 2021 and March/April-November 2021.
Previous crew leader experience on a production farm is preferred. Must have at least 2 years previous vegetable (or similar) farm experience (full time for full seasons). Good communication skills and knowledge of organic farming practices needed.
Field Crew Leader (irrigation, planting, composting, cultivating, row cover, etc…). 5days/week M-F & 2 Sa/month= 55hrs/week.
Harvest Crew Leader (planting, harvesting, bunching, record keeping, CSA, Farmers Markets, etc…). 4 days/week M,W,F,Sa= 40-45 hrs/week.
Greenhouse Lead (seeding, transplanting, organizing, watering, soil prep, record keeping; moves into hoop house and field work as the season progresses). 5 days/week M-F & 2 Sa/month= 55 hrs/week.
Must have 1-2 years previous farming experience with some work in flowers. An artistic eye is preferred (we can teach you to make bouquets). This position could be a shorter season June- September or this position can be the full farm season with flower emphasis during that time.
Weed, plant, harvest, bunch, and prepare for markets and CSA- all outside. If you like to farm and work outside then check us out. Full and Part time positions may be available. We often hire again in July.
